Ingredients
-
1 loaf pound cake (store-bought or homemade), cut into 1-inch cubes
-
2 cups heavy cream
-
1/4 cup powdered sugar
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1 jar Texan Heartland Peach Amaretto Pecan Jam
-
3–4 fresh ripe peaches, peeled and thinly sliced
-
1/2 cup toasted pecans, roughly chopped
-
Optional: a splash of Amaretto liqueur for brushing cake cubes
Directions
Whip the cream: In a chilled mixing bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
Start layering: Place a layer of pound cake cubes at the bottom of a trifle dish or individual glasses. Brush lightly with Amaretto if using.
Add jam & fruit: Spoon a generous layer of Texan Heartland Peach Amaretto Pecan Jam over the cake, then top with peach slices.
Creamy layer: Spread whipped cream over the peaches, then sprinkle a few toasted pecans.
Repeat: Continue layering until the dish is full, finishing with whipped cream on top.
Chill & serve: Garnish with peach slices and pecans, then refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
